0 What is DNAS?

DNAS stands for Dynamic Network Authentication System. DNAS will be used by games to connect to the DNAS server and verify that Game Fusion is keeping GS2 support. DNAS inclusion in games is not mandatory and the final decision is up to the game maker.

If DNAS drops it's authentication (or if it's never included), we will rename the acronym to Dynamic Network Access System.

Well, why use DNAS?

  • [Planned] You can press a button and up comes the Network Centre - just like on Xbox Live, you can press a button and a nifty menu will appear, with options to power off, disconnect from DNAS and the current list of online players!
  • It's an extremely stable way of connecting, with a backup server in place and at the ready in case the main server stops temporarily
  • If GS2, for whatever reason, specified or unspecified, stops being supported, it is easy to stop support quickly and effectively [Last resort]
