What does DNAS do?
DNAS is a way of connecting your console to a brave new world of modem and rednet. It connects your game to the main Game Fusion server, and will soon add things to games, such as an Xbox Home-like menu.
How does it work?
DNAS is powered by a main server. When a game/app wants to connect to DNAS, it broadcasts over a modem channel. When DNAS receives this, it responds with "online" (DNAS is online, proceed) or "offline" (DNAS is offline, you can't continue).
Isn't this DRM?
DNAS is a loose form of DRM due to it's connection methods. Hopefully, when our plans are implemented, DNAS will be more good than bad.
Is DNAS only for GS2?
DNAS will not be featured on GS1 or GS3. Other consoles are undecided.
