Special
CrossBow will be so powerful, so flexible and so ruthlessly cutting edge, there won't be another CrossBow for some time to come. Similar to the >6 month wait you had for Impulse after RedCast, CrossBow's successor won't come out until approx. 2017, at an estimate. We will support the system well into 2017 if all goes to plan.
Why the wait?
The reason is simple; there will be no need for an upgrade. When CrossBow drops, it will be the definition of the word advanced. It will take off with lots of games, and this collection will only increase as the console ages. There will be no reason to upgrade, anyway; all your favourite games will be on your CrossBow, and features will be added as needed. Not being swiftly superseded is a great strategy for CrossBow; it will have time to amass a large games library, it will be really polished and developers will become accustomed to the software, including the Subsistence API, for a refined gaming experience.
